Kristiansen to deliver Republican response to governor’s State of the State address
Rep. Dan Kristiansen, R-Snohomish, will deliver the Republican response to Gov. Christine Gregoire’s State of the State address Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 14.
The House and Senate will convene in joint session at 11:30 a.m. in the House Chambers. Gregoire’s address to the joint session is expected to begin around 11:45 a.m.
Kristiansen, who serves as House Republican chairman, will provide the response directly following the governor’s address.
Both the State of the State address and the Republican response will be televised live on Washington’s public affairs network, TWV.
State House Republican Leader Richard DeBolt, R-Chehalis, and Senate Republican Leader Mike Hewitt, R-Walla Walla, will host a joint media availability in the House Republican Caucus room immediately following the Republican rebuttal to the governor’s inaugural address.
