About Rep. Dan Kristiansen

Rep. Dan Kristiansen has served in the Washington State House of Representatives since 2003, and was the leader of the House Republican Caucus from April 2013 to March 2018. Dan represents the 39th Legislative District, which includes parts of King, Snohomish, and Skagit counties. He is a Snohomish County native who has lived in the Snohomish/Monroe area for more than 30 years with his wife, Janis, where they raised three children.

Dan attended Shorecrest High School and Shoreline Community College, becoming a successful small business owner and employer. He has extensive experience with company budgets, fiscal planning, employee management, project coordination and dealing with state agencies as a small business manager.

Dan's top priorities as a legislator are to improve Washington's economy, encourage job growth, preserve existing jobs and attract more employers. He recognizes that a strong economy is good for Washington's education, health care and transportation systems. It also makes our state a better place to live and raise a family.

Dan is active in his community and church. He also enjoys traveling, camping, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his family.
