Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I was hoping to connect with many of you tonight on my telephone town hall meeting. Unfortunately, weather conditions have forced me to cancel the teleconference.

Here in Olympia, there are snow accumulations of between three and five inches. Some people who help in the call center are snowed in and cannot make it to work. By tonight when the teleconference was to begin, we're told temperatures are expected to drop, making for icy conditions and treacherous roadways. That will likely lengthen the commute times for people trying to make it home. I want to make sure everyone can participate when we do the teleforum. In addition, I also want to ensure the call center workers are able to be safely home with their families if the weather worsens.

Although we won't be holding this event tonight, I have rescheduled it for Tuesday, April 5, at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully, the weather will be much better by then. As we get closer to that date, I'll send more information letting you know how to participate.

As always, I encourage you to contact my office at any time with your questions and comments about legislation and state government. You can e-mail me through my Web site at houserepublicans.wa.gov/Kristiansen or call my office at (360) 786-7967.

Thanks for your understanding and please stay safe!

In your service,

Dan Kristiansen
