Monroe teen helps around the House

Lilly Sedlak, a student at Academy Northwest, served as a page in the Washington State House of Representatives. She was sponsored by Rep. Dan Kristiansen, R-Snohomish.   Each year, young people between the ages of 14 and 17 take part in the legislative page program. Pages assist legislators by delivering messages and documents to lawmakers in their offices, committee rooms, and in the House Chambers during floor sessions.   In addition to her assigned duties, Lilly continued her regular schoolwork two hours a day and attended page school to learn about the functions of state government.   Lilly is the daughter of Paul and Pamela Sedlak of Monroe.   For more information about the page program, visit: http://www.leg.wa.gov/House/Pages/HousePageProgram.aspx
