Just a reminder that the Climate Legislative and Executive Workgroup will hold a public hearing in Seattle on Wednesday, October 23. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and take place at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center (directions here). You can find the draft agenda here. If you cannot attend the event but would like your voice to be heard, you can e-mail your comments to this address: climateworkgroup@ecy.wa.gov.
I discussed this workgroup and its goal in my last e-mail update. Since then, the governor has revealed some of the ideas he supports to cut greenhouse gas emissions in our state. The workgroup met on Monday in Olympia. The Olympian newspaper reported on the meeting, including the views of Rep. Shelly Short and Sen. Doug Ericksen. You can read the article here.
