Statement from House Republican Leader Dan Kristiansen on the resignation of Graham Hunt from the Washington State House of Representatives

“Graham Hunt has resigned from the Washington State House of Representatives, effective immediately. I support Graham's decision and believe it is in the best interest of the constituents in the Second Legislative District, his family and members of the Legislature.

“Washington House Republicans have high ethical standards and hold each other accountable. While this is a disappointing outcome, we don't want people to forget that Graham served in the U.S. Air Force and advocated for several causes – including veterans' issues – during his time as state representative. We are grateful for his military and public service.

“Our work for the people of Washington state continues to be the highest priority. We look forward to working with Graham's successor in the near future.”
